Post by: newcastle on July 23, 2020, 02:05:25 PM
I've got an 85 K100 and after it sat in the rain one night the lights both headlight and taillight stay on with ignition off. when I pull the key they turn off then I hear a clicking sound or two and they turn back on no key is in the ignition and it's off.  Any Idea's      Thanks

Ignition switches are known to get whack. A good clean and check of the insides (http://www.eilenberger.net/K75S/IgnitionSwitch/) is in order.

Since the lights go through the load shed relay, that is where I would look as well.  The coil of the load shed relay is tied into the starter motor, so that is somewhere else I would look.

So I have the same issue.  My 94 K75 was in the rain last night and now the headlight and tail light stay on.
Note, it isn't the regular running headlight that stays on, but the lower power parking light.

Does anyone know exactly what the issue is?
The contacts in the ignition switch?  Some other wiring?
