Title: K75S handlebar cover question
Post by: milq on June 12, 2020, 01:51:23 PM
I searched to no avail, the K75S has the pad over the handlebars and then a plastic cover that mounts in front of this. This cover has 2 posts that either rest on the pad or hook the front of the pad. Mine had a small radar detector mounted to the plastic piece and I am thinking its bent out of shape a bit but not sure as I can't seem to find a really good pic anywhere. Here's a pic of the current situation, both posts resting atop the pad underneath.

The cable is supposed to go through the notch, not where it is.  Either that or something else is holding the pad up.

Mine has barbacks so I had to modify it, but originally I'm pretty sure that cover just bolted to the front of the top triple clamp

Even if you just adjust the bars without adding bar backs or lifts it can cause alignment problems. I have bar lifts and have rotated the bars away from the tank. In order to get everything to align I had to extend the dash pad mounting brackets by 20mm, once done everything aligns. I would undo the dash pad mounting bolts and while still keeping the outer pad aligned with the bars rotate back until everything realigns Once everything lines up see how much you have to extend and /or bend to the dash pad mounts.
