Update: I ended up using universal once from Amazon that can rotate to adjust the height and also the distance to you. The dash pad is no longer bolted to the front, but it is secure and for the price it is fine. after several hours in the saddle, my shoulders still have too much weight on them and get sore, but short of changing the handlebars this is the best it's going to be.
I currently have ~1" risers on my 92 k75s, but i'd like to bring them closer too. Searching led me to the A&S risers/barbacks which I can't seem to find for sale anymore. Can anyone point me to a source? Thanks!

It seems like you'll need to post-tap holes or fabricate angle dash pad brackets that will attach to the barback mounting screws. Be vigilant on eBay though; maybe some will turn up.

No, it's just not a useful reference.
Here's a photo of a barback with a tapped hole. Depending on the configuration of the AI set, tapping similar holes might be possible. Drilling then tapping is a relatively simple process. Dewalt sells single bit and tap sets. In the case of the AI set, the brackets will likely need to be mounted after they've been angled for correct orientation then attached using the sets' bolts. It's all doable.

Back to the topic: I'm not worried about drilling and tapping a hole if the barbacks make it possible. I could also fab up a small bracket spanning the gap from the original mounting hole up to the pad. If possible though, I'd like to save myself the time by buying the A&S set which has the holes already there.

I'm curious if you found the A&S barbacks or equiv?? I started to look around as well, I even called A&S, they haven't stocked them for several years and had no advice on the supplier. Ugh! I have read the Master Yoda article on body position and ergonomics. Strengthening the core certainly helps but nerve compression in the neck isn't going away. I am now on the quest for "C" bars or barbacks for the K75s.

Well spotted Comrade Volador. Don’t tell anyone but I was at work when I found the barbacks. Out overzealous software normally filters out dodgy sites which I guess makes you less likely to look too hard.

Have you used those? Any cable issues? My K75S is OK for the short distances I've ridden it (under 50 miles so far) but I can see some potential neck issues with any real riding.

Even with my risers which bring them back as well, this is still a very uncomfortable bike in terms of posture. if I were to keep the motorcycle and for some reason was really attached to this particular one, I would completely change the handlebars. But from what I understand you would have to change the brake line if you do that.

I have rotated my K75s bars up and back. The upwards part was achieved by fitting another set of OEM handle bar clamps inverted on top of the triple tree clamps using longer bolts. A mate on a K100Rs used a set of fully adjustable clamps bought online I'll try and find out where. Another mate with K100RS bars has just gone down my track. The dash pad brackets will have to be extended by approx 20mm. Both are happy with the results.
