Title: Rad Flush
Post by: MCRyder on May 09, 2020, 01:07:48 PM
I've searched for this, but nothing found.  I'm changing out the coolant.  The flush fluid I have calls for 3 cycles.  #1 run with distilled water, drain.  #2 run with flush and distilled water, drain.  #3 run with distilled water, drain.  Seems like a lot of draining.  I want to run the flush fluid and water, drain.  Then top off with fresh coolant.  Any input?

Thanks.

The first flush is to get rid of all the old coolant.

The second flush is to get rid of the crap in the passages.

The third flush is to get rid of the flushing stuff.

Distilled water is about a dollar a gallon.  Four bucks to do the whole job.  Then the flushing is done for the next 10 years if you change coolant every 2-3 years.
