Title: k75rt gast tank on k75 standard?
Post by: herseyb on March 18, 2020, 05:43:20 PM
Hey gang,

I know that they are different part numbers for RT vs standard even though the years are the same, but does it make it impossible to mount, or can i just file down the little nubs towards the rear of the tank ?

Thanks!

What year is the K75 standard?
If the moto is somewhere around 1994 and later the tank and frame front mounting posts where tank rubber bump stops mount 'spacing' is different then older motos and tanks.

K75RT and K100 (except pre-1985)  tanks will swap and the tank rear mounting posts/pins are required for grommet mount with circlip snap rings.

Will not be able to mount "S" or "C" type fairings on the moto due to the missing indentation on the bottom sidewall of the S or C type tank.
The battery side covers are also different between RT and S or C type.
