Title: NEW K1, NEED THREE THINGS...
Post by: zigyphoto on November 23, 2019, 09:25:23 PM
JUST ADOPTED THIS BEAUTY AND I NEED THE FOLLOWING TO KEEP HER HEALTHY:

1. COVER (DOESN'T HAVE TO BE WEATHERPROOF BECAUSE SHE SLEEPS IN GARAGE)

2. BATTERY TENDER

3. LOWERED FOOTPEGS -- OR A SOURCE FOR THEM (I CAN BARELY GET MY WELL-USED KNEES BENT FAR ENOUGH TO GET ON THE PEGS!)

THANKS,

Z / BOULDER, CO

wow, that looks nice!  I had one for a while way back and my much younger knees complained non stop, can't imagine now.  I know nothing about this company but they popped up with a quick search http://www.knightdesignllc.com/Products/Motorcycle/BMW/K1/BMW-K1-1-Front-Foot-Pegs.html

to Johnny's point about the lowered pegs and twisties hurting my foot: I don't ride that way on the road; that's why I'm still riding long distance all over the world at 72.  and yeah, I've been down at speed (suicidal dog), but ATTGATT kept me in one piece.  Doggie and bike dead.

K1:  rider friend from UK wants to come back and ride eastern US -- he was looking on CL / Denver, knew I had long been lusting for such a beauty, sent link.  I was in Denver two days later and bought it after a BMW Buyer's Inspection (which found NOTHING wrong, told me it was one of the finest they had ever seen..). So I bought it; seller delivered to me.  Came with second set of red decal-ed OEM painted side panels, darker windscreen, the original tankbag and a huge passenger seat bag (which will be listed very quickly).
Already had battery tender pigtail.

I don't have any really fine pix, but am attaching seller's CL pix and one of her in her bedroom, which she shares with my 2016 R12GS-LC.
Oddly enough, I've only ridden GSs since 1996, but previously had K100RS, K75c and a K75S...

I'm really curious to ride this lovely; as fast a response the GS has, this lovely should be even more exciting...

thanks for asking!

and why is this an "invalid attachment"?

Don't waste your ever-diminishing reasoning power and sunset years deciphering computer speak. As I hope you've already learned, it was valid enough to appear. You also have learned that if you use the Attachments and other options feature, photos only appear when they're posted, not when they're previewed.

Start your own Gallery if you want the ability to preview images and manipulate them within text easily. Instructions are in Photo Guidance. If I figured them out, I'm certain you will, too.
