Title: WTB - Seat/Helmet Lock - '86 K75
Post by: 2000rsv on November 03, 2019, 11:03:55 AM
Looking to buy a gently used seat/helmet lock from a K75 (pretty sure the K100 lock is the same).  Don't care about the key.  It just needs to actually hold down the seat when locked.  Mine has wore off the locking tab.

Morning Johnny.

That won't hold down the nice Corbin seat you sold me a few years ago very well.

Thanks for checking.  If it turns up, I'll be your Huckleberry.

You could try making your own with a Dremel, drill, and scrap metal. If you haven't taken it down to pieces yet, this thread shows the setup (http://www.k100-forum.com/t4741-dismantling-the-seat-lock).

Yeah, I took it apart and should be able to reassemble it (I hope).  Need to figure out how to add the barb on the catch rod.  Maybe a touch of welding.

That piece looks like stamped metal rather than cast. Depositing weld filler then finishing with grinding could repair it.
