I had my first case of motobrick whack recently, cranking and turn signal whack, replacing fuses fixed it temporarily. Contact cleaning them fixed it again, although again temporarily.
Whack came back, no lights, no cranking. Did the old pop the clutch in reverse trick a few times, result, cranking but not starting. Cleaned the starter motor but one of the brushes was worn right out. The local auto electrician didn't have brushes that small, so I got the smallest he had, to file it down. All for the grand sum of five dollars, so happy with that.
Feel like a walking cliché now. From looking on the net, that job seems like a right of passage into Brickdom.
