My new to me 92 K75RT came with very worn front rotors. The rear will stop the bike but I don't trust it when I need to use brakes. If you have any used front rotors you're willing to part with , I'd appreciate getting them. Please message me. Thanks. Ray

its not the rotors...
i wept because i had no rotors until i met a man who had no hydromechanical fluid pressurization modulator...

Gotta be the stators, or the hydromechanical fluid pressurization modulator.

What are their thickness and runout measurements?
-
I'll try to measure the thickness and runout when it's not raining later this week. Thanks for the responses guys. I didn't even know it had ABS brakes. According to the Real OEM.com site, my K75 was manufactured in 11/89. Does that sound plausible for a 1992? Ray

There's a response to that in your VIN Whack thread. Try not to ask the same question in two different places.

Worn rotors should work pretty well until they do this.....

My rotors are scored. Some spots deeper than the picture.

You must be all worn out. Take a nap.

Mine don't appear to be cracked. And the scoring doesn't appear to be as bad as I first thought when the rotors were rusty. I've ridden on worse.

I like your style Laitch. Get beauty sleep when you can grab it,right? :-)

I had surging brakes and found a used set on fleabay. solved the surge. I still have the old set, they are within spec but one is slightly warped which was causing the surge. there are several on ebay.

Consider it intellectually restorative sleep. Considered in that way, a mirror won't disappoint you.

Slight warping can be cured see link.http://www.motobrick.com/index.php/topic,1062.msg96334.html#msg96334

A gift from the truly wise. Best free advice I've ever been given. I will never say beauty sleep again. I will however freely employ "intellectually restorative sleep" in my lexicon. Thanks. :-)

Another pearl of wisdom, Sometimes I think it could get better. Sometimes I think it couldn't. I still think it will. :-)

What are their thickness and runout measurements?
The thickness is 4.9 mm and 4.8 mm. Runout is minimal. No warpage. No drag as I spin the wheel.
Thanks for helping me with this learning opportunity. Now I can get out and ride before theres snow and slush and ice. Oh My.
Dont need good used rotors right now but I'll keep my eyes open for some for when I do need them.
Now for an intellectually restorative nap. Ray
