6217450 is stamped on the frame of my moto
According to this: put in here (http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/select) I have a Euro bike made in January 1988 and it's a K75 85 (0562,0571) but it looks a lot like a RT with ABS!! (And ABS came out only in 1989 I thought)
I'm the second owner, bought in 1996, and never had reason to think i bought something other than what I bought. I did buy it in Germany so that part is correct.
So what do i have? and is there a different part set with the wrong model?

At present I'm only looking to replace my clutch, my drive shaft, and the pinion gear on the final drive.
That should take me until about next May.

greetings...
looks like it left the factory january of 88 as a euro k75 with rt parts and rt fairing and newly fangled abs...
have you seen this... (http://largiader.com/k75/khistory.html)
id find the ratio stamp on the final drive and see what motos that ratio is used on as a start... then perhaps do the same thing with the radiator... then the fuel tank... that will give you some enlightenment...

Couple of more VIN decoder links to try:

What is the engine number? I think it reveals the week and year, which should be shortly before your brick was completed.
Maybe take some photos and poast them, it's easy for a six to look like a five or eight or something. It's more clear with a close photo, then zoomed in.

Consider finding and using a VIN checker that will use the entire number string of the moto's ID.
