Hi
I just purchased a 1992 k75 with 53000 miles. One owner who used it for his daily commute and actually had records back 93.
I'm returning to riding after 25 years. Thanks for post on riding position. It felt like I was holding on to the bike instead of riding it before I read this.....
My goal is to put everything possible back stock. First project is the front turn signals. The bike had a rifle fairing and the owner had cut the wiring connectors. I was able to fabricate a way to connect the housing back to the bike. Now I have 3 wires but only 2 posts on the bulb socket to connect to. I'm guessing its ground but where should it terminate?
Just ordered my Clymer manual. The fun begins.

Here the right side. There was a gap between the housing after I bolted it so I wrapped it w gorilla tape to keep the rain out for now.

Yep. I've been tracing the wiring back not and cleaning up the slices as I go. I did document the wiring to the lights on the rifle, so I believe I know which is + - and ground. I don't know where to terminate ground.

Got it. I was just reading thru the info at the run-n-lites link you posted. I'll trace back to the parking lite and remove the connection the parking lamp and clean up the wiring.
Thanks for the help.

Beautiful motorcycle. Looks a lot like my '92 K75. Once you have it the way you want it you'll have fun riding. I sneak mine out every chance I get. Yesterday morning it did errand duty.

On the BMW OEM turn signal, the straight male prong is the ground and the bent (inclined) male prong is the power to the light.
In OEM wiring, the ground wire is brown and has a 90-degree female connector, while the power wire is two-color and has a black plastic shroud on its female connector. I remember this because just yesterday I happened to fiddle with my 1995 K75's front turn signals.
Hope this helps!

Thanks everyone.
With your help, I cleaned up the wiring and connected everything back together correctly this morning. AND THEN... went riding for the rest of the day :)
