I went naked with my k100 and like it. However, what I don't like is how the air vent is wide opened at the front and also, there is a hole in the tank for an optional radiator cover. I found the solution in this pic. Anyone know where to get these air scoops??

greetings pagman...
i think you are calling the snorkle the air vent... outlined here in yellow... is that right...
im not following you on a hole in the tank for an optional radiator cover...

Is the hole you refer to on the left side at the lowest point, if so it holds a rubber gromet that is part of attaching the radiator shroud on the early naked K100 and as for the snorkle I don't recall ever seeing one it may be after market.

snorkel... air vent... what the hell do i know? lol, yes, i am referring to the snorkel, johnny.
the hole in the tank is exactly as rick g. described. it's for the attachment of the shroud, and the snorkel cover in the pic seems to attach right into it and cover the snorkel's opening. hence, knocking out two birds out with one stone.
is it still possible to find this?

That's not OEM. It's most likely custom.

The picture shows a K100 II (from a BMW sales brochure).
And it is an OEM part (http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=0521&mospid=51748&btnr=46_0173&hg=46&fg=48).

That part would make it look like this:

not like the picture above, if I'm not mistaken.

That radiator shroud fits right into the hole i mentioned, but the shroud is not my taste and is a bit bulky looking. Therefore, I would like to go with those scoops, if i ever find them.

It won`t, on a K100 I (as in your picture) these (http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=0501&mospid=51746&btnr=46_0105&hg=46&fg=48) parts is used.
It also could be mentioned that the K100 II was a model for the european market only.
