This is my dream bike, now in my own state. Just installed a new furnace and AC. Lack of fundages.

I already own my dream bike, but since we are dreaming , this black and white pair would be nice.

What makes "Brake Failure" light up? And what are you supposed to do when it *does* light up? Throw out your anchor?

This model has a disk up front and a drum in the rear. My guess is it senses a loss of pressure in the front hydraulic system. You should still have a rear brake, so I would use it and  evasive maneuvers .

The front brake master cylinder and its fluid level/condition need to be checked, like beemuker indicates. The tank needs to be lifted because the front brake master cylinder is under it.
The light could have been labeled Brake Fluid but Failure is more emphatic.  :yikes:

So much motorcycle, for so little money. Amazing.

Friend of mine just purchased the 98K1200 for $2000.  Stored last 21 years with an honest to god 17 miles.  Owner died after purchase and heirs forgot about it. Dry rotted everything but what a deal!  New owner has several Nortons, a R1100S and an R1100R.  This is her first K bike.

If anyone is interested, I have a line on this bikes twin sister, albeit, a 1994 model year. 30,000 miles and for about $300. less.  Please pm me if you would like details.

I almost bought this bike last fall, but waited for my recently purchased 94 K75 S to become available.
