Hi
I am new to this forum.
I have a question regarding the fairing.
I don’t understand how the front central fairing connects to the black fairing bracket which wraps around the forks.
In particular the two holes on both sides of the fairing.
Parts diagrams displays a bump stop?
Photos would be appreciated.
Thanks
Gabriel

Are you living in Melbourne, Florida or are you living in Melbourne, Victoria, Gabriel? Post a photo of your relic so we can see it in all its glory.

location now says AUS....
there is a step by step how to for taking apart and assembling the K75S on this site somewhere. it is very good. try a few searches, or just look in the repair guidance section of the forum. it is there.
your question is about the K75S, but your sig line says you have a K100?

Welcome! A photo or two of the parts you are struggling with will help a lot.
I've had the fairing on my K75S off and on a couple times and never had a problem. Did you remove it yourself, or are you putting a bike together from parts? Do you have all the parts?

it doesn't in his signature. Maybe he's visiting Melbourne, Florida from Australia and I can order some Indian River citrus from him. :giggles

Which parts diagram is that, Gabriel? While you're waiting for personal service, go to the Service Manuals (http://www.motobrick.com/index.php/topic,11014.0.html) section of this site and download the BMW K75 K100 2V workshop manual then look in the bodywork section. Photos are in there as well as exploded diagrams.

Gabriel - I just had my fairing apart, as I was replacing the clocks. That center part connects to the main fairing panels via a side screw, that is located inside (tank side, if you were) the left and right panels. It is a bit of a bugger to remove with an ordinary screwdriver, but a Philips bit with a ratchet or a short screwdriver might help you. After this it is all self explanatory (don't forget the m8/m10 bolt, that is located inside the main fairing panel, accessible once the black end-pieces are removed from the bottom of the fairing panels) and I believe there might be another screw or short bolt holding the "butterfly" panel to the speedo assembly, but that is not hidden, once you have the main body off.. The two holes, that are visible on the black centre piece (the butterfly) are there for no apparent reason, probably it is there to access the bolts underneath, but it does not connect that piece of plastic to anywhere. Once you have the main bodies, headlight unit and speedo off, it lifts off on it's own, as it is not held on anymore
For reference see this parts fiche page https://www.leebmann24.de/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/1270x/040ec09b1e35df139433887a97daa66f/5/6/5649_8.jpg

Hi
I’m not the first person to mess with the fairing.
There is a PDF file but my question is about the set up between the w shaped black fairing bracket and the fairing which the wind deflector is attached to, in particular the holes on either side of these fairings/brackets.
Thanks

Hi
Thanks for your response.
I am confused about the fairing bracket in the top right of the parts diagram and items 5, 4 and 8.
For reference see this parts fiche page https://www.leebmann24.de/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/1270x/040ec09b1e35df139433887a97daa66f/5/6/5649_8.jpg

There should be 2 M6X30 bolts holding the center/headlight fairing to the support. Mine tended to vibrate out until I lock tighted them. Once you get the side fairings off it's easier to see how it mounts, and you have to take them off to get to the bolts. #12 in the schematic, if that helps https://shop.maxbmw.com/fiche/DiagramsMain.aspx?vid=51745&rnd=07242017

Gabriel, number 8 is simply a rubber stop, the gauge cluster is sitting on, it has no other function. Numbers 5 and 8 are connecting the headlight cover, that is sitting underneath the screen either to the main fairing panel or to the headlight support

Thanks Natalena... This was my bike yesterday after an unexpected blizzard some way from home and just before the scariest ride of my life in deep sludgy snow :)

Hi
Many thanks to those who replied.
I think I misread the parts diagram?
