Title: Securing speedometer wire?
Post by: schrocketeer on December 17, 2018, 11:27:55 AM
Any hints on how to secure the speedometer wire from the rear differential to the swingarm? I've got a tie wrap securing the wire to the fender.
It looks like the vertical "tab" coming up out of the swingarm next to the worn section maybe had a securing plastic clip at some time.

No, I'm not going to ride until I get the wire repaired, and then secured.

The prototype solution might be the use a short piece of fuel line (or a rubber chunk of unspecified origin) slit one side of its length, J-BWelded to the swing arm tab or in its vicinity. Open the slit and press the wire into it. You could paint it a party color, too.
