jumpin jimmy b rattled my rotors in july n said i needed to replace my bobbins... they looked good but had a little wiggle room... 8000 miles later they are wasted... jumpin jimmy b was right...

The ones on my K11 were worse than that some had actually fallen in half and disapeared. The goose was still riding it and wondering what the rattling was all about. No offence meant jo.

Did that happen while you were riding or did you just notice it on a stationary bike?
If the rotor comes completely off the carrier when you're hard braking (when they're most likely to fail completely) I'd guess then you'd be in a world of hurt. :o

4 year old thread update... recently had a stainless c clip come off the back of one of the new bobbins...
lucky i saw the bobbin didnt look right on routine pre race tech inspection...
scored one at a local hardware store and was able to podium...
check those bobbins... getts some yeeehaaaa...
