Any tips for gravel road riding on a k75 appreciated .Such as tire selection , engine protection or any other pros and cons .Thanks

Hold on Tight it's gonna be bumpy  :2thumbup:. Remember its not a dirt bike its heavy and being shaft drive puts a lot of power on the back wheel without the slight flex a chain gives.  Any old knobbly tyre will do. Or get a GS and save the 75 for the tarmac it was designed for.

Cut the lever off the front brake so you can't use it and paint the bike with driveway sealer.

Disabling the front brake will reduce the frequency of crashes and the driveway sealer is easy to touch up.

go slow, but not too slow. don't use front brake, unless you want excitement.

I've done it a few times. Several miles worth of jeep trails on my last trip.


Sand is hard. Knobby tires will help. I don't have them. Just go slow.


What I tend to do that helps is to either put the engine in fast idle mode or disconnect the TPS connector. That way you don't have the idle cutoff and get a sudden change in torque on the wheel if you let off the throttle without pulling the clutch.
