Cable intact.. what’s the trick to passing the end barrel and accordion boot through the passage on the swing arm? Maybe it’s stretching open the boot to pass the barrel.. then slide through?

You might be able to do that but the boot might rip. You could also remove the end and let the cable's new owner work things out from there.
Try this. Soap or vaselinate the boot for lubrication. Disconnect the cable's end from the clutch arm. Pull the cable assembly slightly from its bed in the swing arm and slide it through the slot to the wider area. Work the cable and the boot up through the hole.

On my K100RS after disconnecting the cable from the clutch arm you can push the cable and the boot up through the slightly larger part of the hole to the rear.
If you look at this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YCnQE4vQTcs&list=PLMqo5VIG0mVv0vdF8JDrAoeQoWxBm3CtR&index=12&t=0s) by Chris Harris you can see him taking the clutch cable out at about 30 seconds into the video.

At 1:33 but it's mostly of body parts and audio saying colloquially, don't bother, Shawn. He bothered. :giggles
