Title: Goodridge braided hoses - fitting query
Post by: barnett on September 04, 2018, 03:27:41 PM
Evening chaps,

I bought a set of Goodridge stainless steel brake hoses for my '89 K100RS 2V, which were listed as the correct ones for my particular bike. However, I can't really see how it's going to replace what is currently in place.
Please excuse my ignorance as I'm brand new to this bike and have next to no previous mechanical knowledge.

Here's what's on the bike at the moment, minus the calipers which I've removed to rebuild.

This attaches the front right caliper to the front left

And these are what I have to replace them. I have two hoses that have connections for banjo bolts at either end and two that have banjo bolts on one end and female connections for the bolts the other end.

The way these two are angled make me think that perhaps they replace the bridge piece from one caliper to the other, but I don't know what they would then connect to.

Has anyone used these and know how to assemble them? Or does it look like I was sent the wrong kit?

Thanks

looks like you got the line set for a K1100RS, not K100.  the 1100 has a bridge connector and separate lines to each caliper.

Thanks for the replies guys, I've emailed Goodridge about sending them back and getting the correct ones.
