Let's see, 50 pounds up high all the way back and some gyroscope flywheel from the generator.  Bet it's a thrill in the turns...

Older Urals were notorious for self destructing alternators, even got nicknamed as "hand grenades"  The easiest fix was a big battery and run it as a total loss system.  If you run without headlights it lasts a surprisingly long time.   I guess this guy couldn't figure out how to disable his headlight.

as are the Airheads with rotor failure.

Mine failed in the R100S on my way to the Airhead rally in NC.  Spent the night at my daughter's house in Roanoke VA, bought a cheap battery tender at Harbor Fright, let it recharge all night, unhooked the headlight and headed out in the morning confident that I could make it to the rally and someone there would have a rotor.  The last fuel stop was a difficult restart but I made it to the rally and found a rotor before I had even signed in.

Great story......but you ain't seen nothin til you see the magnets come loose on the intro 883 HD Motorcycles. They are lamely glued in the clutch basket, will come loose, and it just chews the shit out of everything...............my first and last H D M
