Title: 1992 K1100TJ to sell
Post by: Bmwbob on August 05, 2018, 01:00:17 PM
So here is my dilema.  I have a modified K75 that runs great but I cant seem to stop wanting to modify it.  So in the last 2 weeks i had purchased a low mileage(67,000 km/42,000 miles) 92 K1100rt, that needed work to use as a donor bike. Well 3 days after i bought it i also found a cherry 1995 K1100RS with even less miles on it that is getting deliverd to me on sat.  My problem is that with a little work, 1 fuse, 1 relay and a fuel pump, the 92 is running well, and i am now having second thoughts about parting it out( I was going to use the front end and the transmission back powertrain on my K75) and part the rest.

So the bottom line is does some one want a K1100rt in good shape mechanically but a litle challenged cosmetically for reasonably cheap?

I am asking $2500 very negotiable canadian dollars for it.

I would also consider selling a non rolling chassis, with ontario title without the complete front end and without the rear power train no wheels, rear drive, driveshaft, transmission, shock, but including frame all bodywork, all electronics, complete engine. I can do a video of it running or you can come and see it run then we can disconnect what I need.

Thanks for looking

I am in Kingston, Ontario.

I know BMW made an R1100RT, but I don't think there is a K1100RT , just the RS, which I think is a really nice looking bike.Pretty sure that's an LT.   I could be wong.

Too funny! The’re not rare but rather well done LOL.  Mine was born in April ‘92 and came into Canada as a ‘92.  The really rare ones are the ones built in 89..
