Looking for an answer to the problem I have when adding a photo file (jpg) to a topic. I have tried a variety of files, but when I preview, I always get an "Invalid Attachment" message for each file.
I have searched the forum for "Invalid Attachment" which returned two posts with a reported similar problem, but I have not found a posted solution.
Other things I have tried: filled any spaces in the file name with an underscore character. All the files I have tried are less than 100k. All are jpg files with the .jpg extension.

Here's the deal, AT. When I previewed my attachment I got this:

Screen Shot 2018-07-25 at 11.47.26 PM.jpg (27.57 kB . 768x377 - viewed 436 times)
When I posted it though, I got what's below
Test

Chill1 copy.jpg (390.15 kB . 720x540 - viewed 453 times)

I use the Gallery method because I can preview and see exactly what will be posted before it's posted. The way you're doing it is faith-based except you haven't tested your faith fully yet. :giggles.

Keep in mind too, that when the Attachments and other options method is used, images can be viewed only by members who have logged in.

So in the post above, the [ Invalid Attachment ] shows when using the "Preview" button. However, it does not seem to affect the "Post" function, as my attachments are viewable. So I will ignore the "[ Invalid Attachment ]".

Your attachment is already uploaded if you see this.

"Invalid Attachment" after already uploaded is happy fingers in the choose file insert attachment area.
