Hi Guys,
im having trouble figuring out why I don't see the same parts on Bmw fiche. attached are some images. there is rubber bushing/bumper at the bottom of my dampener. any one else have this? I have a susspision that the previous over was dick.
I found some parts missing from the right fork that was present on the left fork. and some were arranged in the wrong order.
Im rebuilding this sucker so I want to make sure I get the right parts.
any thought and help would be great .

Tell us what we're looking at in these three images. That bushing on the damper looks like part of a bicycle floor pump. :giggles Are you aware the K100RS Sport forks have differing parts on the left leg than on the right? Have you downloaded the K75/K100 2V manual from the Repair Guidance section here? There are a couple of fork styles that could have been used on your bike. It's fork chapter might clear things up for you about what you have on the table. Here is an illustration from it concerning Sport fork parts.

Laitch!
Thank you for your reply.
what you're looking it the Dampener from the Right hand fork Stanchion .
I didn't know that there are different . but that presents another issue. they have all the same components from both forks, But when I opened them , the rubber on the bottom was in a different position one side was missing part 1, guid ring with notches. its weird.
I have the clymers manual. but im starting to understand its incomplete with info. ill look now at manual on this site see what I find.
Thanks!!!

The rubbers is non genuine...you missing the piston ring in the other end.

The photos and diagrams are clear about what should be part of an assembly. You already know that your bike has had tinkering done to it. It's up to you to follow the diagrams, get the parts and assemble it.
There's plenty of information on line. It just takes patience to find it. Learning how to search efficiently is a skill you develop, just like reading a micrometer or vernier caliper. Look for stampings; measure tubes, etc.

Yes.

The drawing shows one spring. But the parts list says 4 alltogether, 2 in each leg.
