Cash sale, $4150
The bike is pretty close to perfect and has 4,600 original miles. It had been put into storage in 1992, and only recently recommissioned. The riding position is too sporty for me, and I prefer the smaller feel or the non faired K75.
Looking sell or trade for a nice, clean, solid K75, preferably w/ the BMW windshield + side cases

The bike is still available.

Hey j o,
When did you say they hardened the splines on K bikes? And was it all K's or just the K100's n K1100's, and not the K75's. (Seriously) was it 92/93?
Love,

All K-bike splines were modified. According to this (http://largiader.com/k75/khistory.html), the splines were nickel-plated 1987. According to this (http://www.motobrick.com/index.php?topic=490.0), they were hardened in 1990 and the service interval changed to 40K miles.

Tree house I've had my 75s for over 20 years and over the years. As I have matured (gotten old and decrepit) I have progressively modified my bike to suit. The handle bars were first rotated up and back progressively, then a block was added moving them up and back. The seat was lowered and repadded, I still have an OEM seat unmodified. You might want to try playing with the bars before you get rid of it. As yet I am still using the 75s bars but there are alternatives. The windscreens can also be made shorter or longer.
Regards Martin.

Thanks Martin for the advice.
I'll probable end up doing what you did, but I'll have to extend the brake line.

Must be one of the extras that was thrown in.
That's OK, you can use it as a guide. When you start cutting pieces off in the quearage process, you just keep going until the noise goes away.

JO,
Have you thought of putting it on floats? I've not seen a sea brick yet, it would be good if you plan to go north or east out of "dodge county cheezconsin". Enjoy your napp.
