Title: K75 RT radiator and hoses
Post by: rodsurbina on May 17, 2018, 02:26:16 PM
Hi everyone!

My name is Rodrigo and I just picked up my first K bike. Pretty excited!

So I've been doing a bit of research and I had previously thought the biggest differences between all the K models was just fairings, addition of rear disk brake, and slightly different suspensions. Well, I stripped my RT bike naked and noticed that the right side water hose/coolant pipe doesn't run though the crankcase cover but just floats around in front of the bike. The radiator seems to be angled up a little bit as well.

I'm seeing that this is normal on the RTs but I have a couple questions:
1) Why? Doesn't make sense to me.
2) Has anyone moved/adjusted the radiator back, closer to the frame, and changed the hoses to ones from other K bikes?

Thanks!

The fairing is made for the K100, the radiator is moved forward to sit close to the front in the fairing.
It also is a K100 radiator, the one for the K75 is smaller....this also have to do with the different mounting.

Awesome! Thank you for that information.

Anyone have an answer for question 2?
