Hi.
Finally I have my K approved and licenseplate on....and summer is close!
But... It rund Great - starts right away, idle is Calm and it pulls really Well , untill it reach 6.000 rpm or roughly 60 mph in 5’th.... then there is no more.... I can’t even make it go higher when doing a long run?
I have changed fuelfilter and all hoses. Added new ignition cables, plugs etc. Cleaned all connections ( but might go over Them again)
Things I havent done yet is balancing inlet, and checked ignition ( it goes Real smooth untill 6.000)
Awaiting arrival of Morgan carbtune - but Can unbalance cause these symptoms?
My hope was that someone experienced similar and solved it.
Intake rubbers/manifolds also new!

Might add that I changed exhaust... quite a lot of crakcle and boom when I let go of gas!

60 mph in 5th is unacceptable... stop it now... you need to keep it on the redline...
you must be smooth to avoid crackle...
redline no corn ethyl techron smooth...
im saying longcut or stay home...
now go getts you some yeeehaaaa...

I would keep it on the redline if I could.... It is pure gasoline...and injectorcleaner in the tank - have run 1 big bottle through the system...Stp ( http://www.stp.com/products/fuel-additives/super-concentrated-fuel-injector-cleaner)
As we cant get Techron around here

Is one of your intake rubber clamps interfering with throttle action?

I Will check - but feel pretty sure that I have full throttle - checked it when I replaced the gascable!

Is this the cafe bike (you have two, a plain and rs in your signature) ?
Could it be the after market instruments acting as rev limiter?

Should be closer to 4000 rpm at 60 mph in 5th :dunno

if he meant to say 60mph at 6000rpm in 5th gear he better order a clutch kit...

I have the Bep 3.0 mounted - it was the same before I connected the instrument.
It is the Rs in my signature that has been rebuild.
Clutch is ok :-) probably the readings on the instrument that is incorrect. I Can follow normal highway speed and then no more.
Never been driving a K before this - but assume that there should be something left ;-)
My first thought was also techron or similar - as it have been sitting for a while. I Will give it a bottle more when I fill it up.

You were partly right!! Got a wrong gascable... when I fitted it I assumed i should take up the slack in the handle... found out it then only goes 1/2 of what it is supposed to
🤥 just never driven a K before so I thought it was normal with that little movement in the handle[emoji49]

Holy sh.. nothing wrong with that one ....
Shortened the gas cable about 2 cm with a cable repair kit.
Now it just keeps pulling[emoji48]
