Title: Barn find resurrected
Post by: schrocketeer on May 01, 2018, 09:20:52 AM
After sitting in a shed for 3 years, and me working on it for four months, my K100RT is on the road! Saturday was first engine start and ride around the yard. After getting my insurance I took down the street a ways. Yesterday I got it tagged and registered, and got a sunset ride in!
Still have the speedometer to get working, and check on the splines.
I'm for sure going to put the saddlebags back on. Not sure about the mid and lower fairing pieces.

Good on you  :riding:

No speedometer?

I'm not sure if the K100s is the same as the K75 but is the harness to the rear sensor connected?

Nice work - I had an '84 in that colour. The more you ride it, the better it gets......

I've put almost 6,000 miles on my RT since May. Love it!

The Reynolds Rack on the back is a nice touch.  Those things are hard to find.

Instrument boxes have gotten cheap since the "cafe" craze kicked in. Be sure to buy a later example, with the two circular vents on the back.

Well done. Great to hear you are scooting her on the road.
