I believe it will fit 1985 and on BMW K75 and K100 motorcycles, plus others, but please do your homework! It doesn't have any damage and goes up and down as it should, but it could use a good cleaning and probably a rebuild to make it 100%. I don't have the manual, so I don't know how the adjustment works. It is missing one mounting washer, but that's an easy fix.
I just replaced an aging Progressive on my 1993 K75S with a YSS and believe the K75S requires a different shock from the other models.

Hmm - maybe for YSS, but according to Works, their shock fits all models...

I have a Works on my 1991 R100RT, had it rebuilt a few years ago and am very pleased with it.

I replaced a Works Shock on my K75RT with a Fox Twin Clicker from a K75S. The spec for travel is the same for both bikes, and the ride with the Twin Clicker is virtually the same, if just a tiny bit more plush(probably due to damping adjustments). Rear wheel loading is virtually the same for both models as far as how I ride, so I would expect the spring rates are the same as well.
BMW shows different p/n for different models, but shows similar specs for travel, etc. Different internal damping????

I’m mulling this over but wondering how much better than a Wilbur’s or YSS a vintage shock can be when it could cost more money after being rebuilt.

I won a $100 Works coupon at our local rally a number of years ago and had Works rebuild it. As mentioned above, these are heavy so shipping is not cheap so I probably spent $150 plus the coupon credit so it was not cheap to rebuild. They sent back all the old parts which included pretty much all the guts.
Not to completely hijack this thread but I just put a YSS on my K75S. Got it from Ted Porter at his Beemer Shop after asking him about the differences in Wilbers and YSS. He responded right away with a recommendation.
