Hi, Does anyone know of an off the shelf solution for a brake hose that goes from the front lever directly to the caliper?
Bike is a K100 LT and I have just naked-ified it and removed all the ABS components.

I just get mine made up by a local automotive brake shop. They can do them on the spot in black covered stainless braid. I just show him what I want and he makes it up on the spot. And it's a lot cheaper than going to motorcycle shops or specialists and you don't have to wait.

No need to order internationally, just ring your local brake shops until you find one that will make your line. Hydraulic shops would also be a source of lines. My across the road neighbor has a mobile hose making business and he can do them. You just need to look around.

It is amazing to me how little the length of a custom hose has to be wrong before it either won't work or looks terrible. Instead of trying to measure the length with a tape, get a length of plastic tubing about the same diameter and thread it into position. Then cut it at each end where it crosses the centerline of the banjo fittings. Lay it out and measure it to get the hose length you need from banjo to banjo.

There is a piece of rigid metal hose joining the two calipers.
My LT didn’t seem to have the hose splitter running through the headset like I’ve seen on other bikes. Not sure it it’s an LT specific thing?

Someone will correct me, but I thought that was a K75 feature. I recall once looking into converting my K100 to it to get rid of the splitter.

Not sure @billday, all I know is that pretty much everything else was stock on the bike so I would be very surprised if it wasn't the original component.

In the MAXBMW parts fiche, that assembly is shown as a stock option (Diagram #34_0657) on the 2V K100LT '86–'91.

It certainly makes bleeding the brakes a lot easier.
