Has the exhaust bushing on your K75 turned to fairy dust???
I have a quantity of BRASS bushings made by our own Bocutter Ed. Price is $30 shipped and ALL proceeds are going to support Motobrick.com.
Fix that leaky exhaust and help fill the MotoBrick.com tank.

We were supposed to hold off on these for a bit. Anyone wants one should sign a non-disclosure agreement first. So of course no pictures please ...
-
interested. Once you are ready, PM me with how to proceed.
-
I'll check with Bocutter Ed. They are his creation, I'm just the guy who mails them in the U.S.
-
and.....are they ready?
-
If anyone is doubtful about these, by the way, I'm running the original working prototype from a couple years ago and it's still working 100% fine. With any luck it'll last through years (and, more importantly, many muffler removals).
-
:2thumbup: :2thumbup:And I can attest to them working inverted in OZ. It has cured my Bricks backfiring on over run. Nearly as good as Tim Tams but better than Vegemite.
Regards a happy and quieter Martin.
-
:mbird Better than vegemite. . . . . . Big call there Martin
-
I am sold! how to order?
-
The gaskets have long been ready.
The lawyer and I should be done with the Non-Disclosure Agreement tomorrow, or next day. (I'm the delay: upgrading systems, software, and skills from semi-retiring in '05 ... )
I am sold! how to order?
I'll post that once the NDA is finalized. You will get one of the first run for "testing purposes' in exchange for a 'donation' to motobrick.com
-
I stand by my call, definitely better at sealing exhausts leaks than Vegemite. You can give it a try if you don't believe me. But Vegemite is better at lubing bearings. :hehehe
Regards Martin.
-
muffler off.....waiting for the NDA......finger poised over the donation button.....
-
Near as I can tell the NDA is ready for a digital signature. You'll need Adobe Reader on your computer. There are 6 gaskets in the US with TMG, and 2 more in Australia with Martin. I have a 'bunch' here in Toronto. When they're gone ...
If you want a gasket send me your email by PM. I will send the form. You fill in your particulars, sign & return it. You make a $30.00 US donation to motobrick.com (donation link is above). TMG, Martin, or I will ship a gasket. I will send an installation sheet (photography pending). Think that's it.
Oh, and no pictures, but comments will be appreciated.
-
I have them in my K75's. They do take a little work to install, but once they're in, you probably will never need to do it again.

Are these bushings still available? I've learned to hate my K75's mica exhaust sealing insert...

Umm ... Yup.
-
I think there is one left here if I can find it.
Will reply with availability asap.
-
Two are still available in OZ.
Happy New Year regards Martin.
-
tim tams.......best biscuit ever!
discovered these when I was a foreign exchange officer.
wishing all a safe, sane and healthy New Year
-
All our Kweensland workshop days feature Tim Tam double choc and Tim Tam dark choc orange. Last one also featured another OZ delicacy Lamingtons with optional cream and coconut jam drops. :lets-eat:
Regards Martin.

He's saying he needs 2, one for his self and another for a local bud. I think I've half a dozen in the box. I'll have to think whether to ship from here or replenish your stockpile ...
-
I'm mailing my last one to BrickDad. I think he only needs one.
-
I would be interested in this!

two thumbs up from a satisfied customer!!
A work of art!

Are these the bushings that seal between the muffler and exhaust collector? If so are any more available I need one for my k75s.

Yes. There is one left from the initial prototype run of, IIRC, 22 units. I picked up enough tubing to make at least 100 pieces.
-
Thanks Ed I just sent you a pm.

Good news.
Put me in line for two.
-

I notice you have a PX200 in your sig. Does that take the same graphite-pressed-on-steel-mesh gasket/bush as the modern 250 & 300 models?

Carp. I'm going to have to get my arse in gear then.
-
Ed I don’t believe it does. It’s been a while since I rebuilt the motor so I’m going from memory. The modern ones are four stroke, mine is a a 2t and the exhaust slides over the header stub and gets held down on with two springs to seal it up. Did you receive my pm?
-
Carp.

Yes, and replied.
