OK, this is your stupid question for the day: just got back from a quick 2500km trip on my '93 K11RS, and at one of the fuel stops the rubber bump stop that screws onto the muffler fell off. It's meant to stop your stands from bumping against the muffler. I pocketed the offending part and have put it back on now that I'm home but it doesn't seem to line up properly with the stands. There are two shapes that are meant to accept your sidestand and the left arm of the centrestand but no matter how I rotate the bump stop it doesn't line up with both. With the sidestand sitting in the outer shape, the centrestand arm doesn't line up with the second shape and is forced to hang lower than I thought it should. What have I done? Does anyone have their K up on a ramp at the moment and can photograph the alignment on theirs for me?

Turns out the rubber bumpstop was missing both of its tits, one of which had been replaced by a small bolt. The bolt looked like it hadn't had a nut on it for some time so I surmise that there was a remaining tit that gave up the ghost somewhere along the road, allowing the bumpstop to fall to the ground when the bike went on the centrestand to be filled. When I remounted it, knowing no better, I used the wrong hole in the mounting bracket so strangely enough nothing lined up like it should....
