Greetings, seem to be lots of bricks down under. We love pictures!

im using a friends computer im not on net
i prob even need help to get a photo up
the previous owner used it as a dirt bike so not pretty but ill try a photo
there wasnt even one spec of black paint left on the muffler cover, ive painted that at least
im considering putting a by pass oil filter on it
but just love riding it at the moment
-
i have attached photo, hope it works
-
i realise this is not a proper profile
anyway am i the only one who has looked at this bike in profile and had the thought bubble;
that looks like a rabbit

Welcome to the asylum from the northern realms. There is no need to put a bypass filter on it, the standard oil filtration sytem is more than adequate. Use a good quality oil and filter and change at the required intervals. Brick engines are virtually bulletproof if looked after. :2thumbup:
Regards Martin.

Thanks
Ive got two workshop manuals for this bike, but i think its these forums and youtube that gave me the confidence to do the work myself

that looks like a rabbit
So far, you're the only person admitting to that. :giggles
The bike looks good through the romantic haze of that photo. Put flushing the coolant system on your program if you haven't done that yet, and determine if the fan is functioning appropriately before you get too far afield.

Bugs Bunny or popular sex toy?

Oh and welcome aboard. Second what Laitch said about the fan. In the UK we only have two fan required days a year. In Australia you only have two fan not required days a year. :yow

yep flushed the coolant and the fan turns on and off when it should
my first ride on a bmw was three years ago on a k100,first i thought wow thats ugly
later looking at the front fairing profile i thought the mirrors look like ears the indicator is an eye and the bottom part a mouth
but ill admit when we were growing up we did a lot of rabbit hunting, maybe i ate too much rabbit
