Howdy guys,
I'm back in the UK now after being in the Middle East for 3 years.
So I'm getting to work on my own K75 (RT) after trying to get my buddies K75 Cafe going in Dubai - thanks again for all the help and support on that...
Anyhow, in the summer I stripped the RT back and dumped the Fairing - to go Naked.
I also added an LED headlamp and indicators to make road legal.
Anyhow I'm trying to track down an original front end set-up around the Headlamp, Indicators and Headlamp Cowl that was I believe on fitted to the US Spec K75 T version - Naked...
It seems to work well and molds into the Speedo Cowl and has the orginal BMW indicators...
My question therefore - as I've been trying to track the bits down - is what part numbers, what are they called and which Bikes were they fitted too?
Anyone know if they were fitted to UK or European Spec Bikes...
Picture attached with a couple of arrows!

K75 and K100 II (both naked versions).

I thought that photo looked familiar !
Headlight cowl: 01 62 21 1 459 490 -> HOUSING
Front turn indicators: 01 63 13 1 459 325 BRACKET FRONT LEFT - 01 63 13 1 459 326 BRACKET FRONT RIGHT
I recently replaced those two exact parts, what you see in the photo are newly installed. My bike in the photo is a European spec bike, but the replacement parts were purchased in the U.S. So I would assume that the parts are interchangeable.

My US bike has the same housing. Parts with those numbers should fit whichever you have.

Thanks - your Bike looks great by the way - trying to get mine to look very similar... starting with an RT.
Seem these parts are not so common in the UK - might have to source in the US.

Not so shure about that.

Those links aren't working for me, Inge. Maybe the snowfall is interfering right now.

Which snow?

The type that gently falls from the heavens upon the place beneath.

Thanks! My bike is basically stock. It was originally purchased in Rome, Italy and brought to the U.S. by the original owner. It had the touring bars and a very broken windscreen when I purchased it. I removed the windscreen and brackets and replaced the touring bars with the S bars. Since it is basically a naked mike now, I find that the forward lean is preferable in dealing with the wind blast at highway speeds.
I purchased those parts from MaxBMW. They were available but I did have to wait a few weeks to get them.

Rang them yesterday - none in stock.... Motorworks...
Found them though on eBay second hand in Germany.... on their way...

Very cool... Mine has the RT bars so very upright at the moment - was wondering about the Bars... S Bars are fairly low - I owned a K1100RS briefly but didn't like the position... so I sold it in favour of the RT. I'm a bumbler, i.e. not big on Motorway riding so I'll see how it fares when complete before changing - the C Bars might be a good compromise though - mid way between S and RT?
I've dumped the full fairing and have put a single Headlamp on but I prefer the stock look yours has...
I did find a complete second hand front end yesterday on eBay in Germany! So I bought it for 170 Euros (£150) includes Clocks which I don't need, indicators and a complete Light unit... it's on it's way...

Condition looks 50/50 so still might need some new bits from the US.
Believe yours is the low seat model hence the additional Vinyl bits round the Tank - mine is a 1991 ABS version, similar colour.
I'm re-upholstering the Seat and getting all Metal and Plastic painted.
Here's mine at present... be great to get some more pictures of how this all fits on to the Forks as I haven't got it yet... also be good to see your original Bike pics... ?

Then you would need a new headlight insert (or lens, reflector and gasket as single parts).
Same headlight is used on lot of boxer models too......have a look here. (http://www.maxbmwmotorcycles.com/fiche/PartsSearch.aspx?&searchtype=partnumber&parts=63%2012%207%20659%20003)

Yes mine is the low seat model.
Here are some pics as requested: the bike as I received it (it was a non-runner), and detail pics of the headlight and surrounding parts. If you look closely at the speedo, you will see that it is kilometers/hour only (no mph) Here in the states it can become quite the curiosity.

So much of our population has become familiar with the metric system through years watching or participating in illegal drug trade, curiosity will soon be replaced by adoption of the system. :giggles

Thanks - I got mine back and got a second hand lamp pod and indicator setup - now fitted... Still missing a Radiator cowl as its the RT with larger Rad... but getting close to yours now...

Hey there - finished my K75 now and finally got it on the road - after a full Engine swop - another thread.
Fitted cases and Mirrors today and looks a lot like yours which was an inspiration for me... mine was of course an RT originally... I love the look..
Bars are still RT so more relaxed than yours I think and slightly bigger tank so no fairing for Rad...
Just need to find some Engine Crash bars - which seem rare!

Not sure about crashbars now, mixed reviews on here about them, also expensive and optional
