Title: Valve clearance question
Post by: BearTrap on October 19, 2017, 01:33:12 PM
I have a 1990 K75 standard low seat with 50k on the clock. Just checked valve clearance and here are the results. Intake: 1/.15mm, 2/.15mm, 3/.25mm Exhaust: 1/.25mm, 2/.25mm, 3/.25mm. Should I be concerned with the number 3 intake? Motor runs smooth with no engine pinging or clatter. Thanks.

no, little loose is better than tight.  Keep an eye on the exhaust, they are at the minimum and they tend to tighten from valve recession.  Burnt valves can result.

I thought so. I will keep an eye on the exhaust. Thank you for the input.
