funky throttle issue this afternoon, almost like the cable moved/lost partial tension. It's NOT sticky per say just mega slack in the closed position. WFO, it's pegged in about a 3/8 turn instead of full on. Only works in the halfway position, strange. NOT really sure if it's even fixable other than a new R&R.
It is possible the cog, grip tooth ring or throttle chain are compromised ? Last time around I had the assembly apart for inspection & lubrication, chain & cogs seemed OK ? NOT like there massive forces at work too affect anyway, ______ dunno ?
Where should I go next ? Hoping, "an engineer's night-mere word", that it's a simple adjustment. For the record, this K 75 has had a semi hard throttle pull since new, dealer proclaimed it was OK when I complained.
On the brighter side, I was able to end the day without roadside wrenching or total failure. Weird, 70 mph was all I could do, read pegged throttle syndrome sucks.

Why not take the screw out next to the MC and take a peek?

Plan is to inspect A to Z,report back. BTDT, with idle/throttle advance/cold start adjustment, enough said.
I've NEVER wrenched on a new throttle cable before, stay tuned. Different lengths for the style of handlebars, badge is the C model.
God, I miss my GS, being outfitted with Jesse bags at CSM Motosports, Middleburg, Pa currently.

32731457376 or 32731457016 should work for C or S bars.

Problem solved, somehow the cog & throttle tube walked from there reference/index marks _________.
Cover screw was slightly loose. Guessing that the cover anchors the cog/cam right ?

Yes, if you look at the bottom of that plate you'll see a thing that sticks out that fits into a groove on the throttle tube and holds it in place.
