Title: Not a cafe racer!
Post by: Skunky on August 23, 2017, 08:10:34 PM
Hi forum dwellers, I recently added a neglected K100 to my stable with the intention of my first rebuild project and to be honest have already viewed the forum for info regarding my build. The bike is a 1990 K100 non abs and was an ex Police unit. It has stood for at least 10 years with 60k on the clock and will be building it to my specification. There will be changes but I hope to be faithful to the bricks heritage. Photos to follow soon.

Hi Folks a few pictures of the K100. The photos actually look better than it does in the flesh.

Nice score.  I have an old KRS from which I removed plastic until the air could blast through.  Like a 90S airhead.  Throw parts in box, put on shelf.  Also modified stock wind deflector with simple vortex smoother to get helmet into clean air.  Can always go stock, but gets bike to personal riding preference.  Good luck.

Fargo bags they are in poor condition but good quality a good clean with back to black should make a difference but they I won't be putting them back on using for parts storage at the moment

Welcome to the forum skunky.   :2thumbup:   I always sort of like the police models.  I grew up watching the tv show Chips after all.  :riding:  Would be neat to put it back to original.  Is the extra light on front a model specific feature or just a fog light that someone added?  I've never seen a configuration like it before.
