Title: What crankshafts fit?
Post by: Roland on August 21, 2017, 01:36:50 AM
Are any of the four cylinder bikes crankshafts interchangeable? Maybe a k1100 on a k100? Just looking in to options for more torque.

I have read/heard that the 1985 K100 EURO cams allowed more power than the US version, but that's about all I have ever read about.(US emission regs required that they be toned down a bit, so I have heard about)

Of course I read it on the net so it has to be true right...... :hehehe

You might be better off looking at options for different intakes, exhausts and camshafts, and re-tuned ECUs (if anybody does one). that would give you the option to play with the tuning as well - not so easy to tweak the crankshaft.

Let me hust give some info on the bike. I have posted on it before. It is carbeurated and we are putting straight pipe zoomies out the side. Where would i find a hotter camshaft for the bike?

Never used them but you could try these guys:

Or if you have the money you could ask Piper Cams to make you some specials.
