Post by: dale on August 09, 2017, 02:19:44 AM
Hi,

Does anyone know anymore about this build?
I have found some show-ey youtube videos and some small writeups but thats about it.I really like many aspects of this design and would love to know more if anyone can give me a boot in the general direction.

Kind regards Dale

Here is the builder: https://www.facebook.com/APROVICH

He posted a lot of pics and vids of the bike in the K groups on FB a month or so ago.

just a word of warning if you want to make something similar it won't be cheap.
the radiator alone on that build is £500+
the rear shock is around £400
the rear sets are around £350

so consider your budget before starting to try.

If you know where to get that shock for £400, please let me know. I've been seeing prices that are at least twice that.

this one is also awesome: https://bikebrewers.com/bmw-k100-cafe-racer-2/
Wondering if the person sells the suspension kit. Maybe we could do group buy.

See now that's a not-bad cafe racer...not the "I hacked the frame and added some clip ons...now I have a cafe racer" type cafe racers

That price is probably right for the model, I only took the cost of their cheapest rear motorcycle shock just to make a point that even their "worst" one is double the cost of most good ones and a hefty chunk of money.

Most people try to replicate these builds on a shoestring budget and give up when they realise how much work/$$$ is needed.
