I installed a Parabellum 18 inch windshield today, slipped right in to place. Much better than the scratched-up OEM, PO musta used ammonia and Brillo pads.

Not the best shot, but shows how the OEM is in poor shape. I'm gonna see if I can restore it some. Hate to toss it, NOS OEM shields are $450! Also got Shinko 230's mounted last week. Read some good reports on these tires, looking forward to trying them out.
The windshield install is a step closer to the Top Of The Rockies Rally, leaving next week Wednesday. Got some fluids to replace, I'm leaving off the odo/trip repair to when I get back. Heading up with another Baby Brick owner who's riding an '88 K75S. Mebbe I'll see a few classic Bricks at the TOR.

Got a question about the Parabellum windshield system. The windshield itself is mounted to a separate black piece that mounts to the fairing. Does this supersede the brace that supports the OEM windshield? I forgot about the brace on the install, but it doesn't seem like it'd fit with the Parabellum system.

The brace is still used with the Parabellum windshield.

Thanks!

If you want to try and restore the OEM windshield, 3M makes an excellent "Headlight restoration kit". It's intended for cars... But it does a perfect job. I used one on the yellow window and spoiler of my K100rs, and it worked wonders!
