so i have been working on my bike i got it to start just fine but the little green button was broken so the button just dove in ans kept the starter turning. I fixed that part. But now when i turn the key, headlights come on, but no diagnostics. None of the cluster will self check. I tried arcing the tabs in hopes it will turn over. Nothing. The fuel pump is not running. The fuses are all fine. Im at a loss.

What was wrong with the button and how exactly did you fix it?

I drilled a whole in what was left mounted a spring and stuck a washer on what was left and epoxied everything together.

Sorry, the top of the button was broken off when I got it. The spring was also gone.

You can see that the assembly is more complex than a washer. I think you'll need to find a replacement switch or fabricate parts that you can see in the following posts.

Thanks! I'll take a look.

New switch assemblies are $140 plus shipping at EME. (http://www.euromotoelectrics.com/product-p/hbswitch464.htm) Somebody out in the Web might be fabricating only the parts you need, if only you can find them. Used ones will surface but you need to make a list of bike salvage outfits, visit their websites regularly and pounce when you find one.
